Apple Unveils AI-Enhanced Features in iOS 26 Across Key Apps

At WWDC 2025, Apple revealed a sweeping upgrade across its iOS app ecosystem, launching with iOS 26 this fall. With Apple Intelligence at its core, the update introduces smarter, more intuitive tools that enhance everyday tasks like calling, messaging, navigation, and photo editing.

The Phone app now includes Call Screening, which lets iPhones silently answer unknown calls and present the caller’s purpose before you decide to pick up. Hold Assist stays on the line through hold music, while Live Translation enables real-time multilingual conversations. Messages gets smarter too, adding polls in group chats, Apple Cash transfers, typing indicators, and message screening for unknown senders. It also brings text translation as you type.

Apple Music adds Lyrics Translation and Pronunciation Mode to sing in other languages. The new AudioMix blends songs seamlessly like a DJ, and your iPhone can now double as a karaoke mic for Apple TV. You can also pin favorite tracks for quicker access.

Apple Maps gets smarter routing for daily commutes and a Visited Places feature to privately log where you’ve been. Apple Wallet introduces a Digital ID, supports driver’s license verification on websites, and enhances boarding passes with Live Activities and navigation support.

Photos brings back tabs for easier navigation and adds spatial photo creation, while Camera simplifies access to popular modes and settings. FaceTime and Apple Podcasts now use Live Translation and Enhance Dialogue, respectively.

Finally, Image Playground gets a major boost via ChatGPT, allowing new creative styles like vector art, oil painting, and fully custom images based on user prompts. With iOS 26, Apple is clearly pushing for a more intelligent, personalized, and user-friendly future.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qLDacbMpxG4
